DarkUFO Character Cup- Round 1, Matchups 25 & 26 (**Closed**)

A heart-breaker and a head-scratcher. That's the best way to some up our previous matchups. Eko proved victorious, but at the expense of the well-liked Alex. In contrast, the Smoke Monster laid down some serious hurt upon Danny Pickett, who still managed to earn himself 140 votes when all was said and done.

As we creep ever closer to the end of Round 1 we find ourselves, in the words of Sawyer, arguing over who's our favorite Other, and trying to decide between yet another pair of fathers who have been less than exemplary in behavior.

Cast those votes and feel free to hoot, holler, rant and rave in the comments section. It's been pretty entertaining on it's own so far. :-)

Richard Alpert
Status: Other (Alive)
Richard is a member of the Others but was a part of the 'Hostiles' that inhabited the Island before DHARMA. He assisted with the Purge. He traveled off-Island to recruit Juliet and to provide a live video feed of her sister. He appears to be one of Ben's right-hand men but also seems to support a change in leadership. He was last seen leading a group of Others to the Temple.

Karl
Status: Other (Alive)
Karl is one of the Others and is Alex's boyfriend. Ben tried keeping him away from Alex for fear that she would get pregnant, and even resorted to brainwashing him. Kate and Sawyer helped Alex rescue him during their escape from Hydra Island. Karl set out to warn the Losties of the Others' plans to attack their camp early.

Mr. Paik
Status: Flashback Character (Alive)
Mr. Paik is an industrial tycoon and organized crime boss in Korea. He is the father of Sun and the father-in-law of Jin. In order to marry his daughter, Mr. Paik made Jin work for him, doing his dirty work as ordered. Mr. Paik discovered Sun's affair with Jae Lee and was greatly disappointed with his daughter and unsympathetic when Jae Lee killed himself.

Michael Dawson
Status: Lostie (Unknown)
Michael lived in New York and had a son, Walt, with his girlfriend Susan, who later left the country with the boy. Michael became Walt's guardian when Susan died suddenly in Australia. After the crash, Michael tried to get his son rescued. He built the raft and tracked down the Others when they took Walt. He was allowed to leave the Island with Walt when he agreed to bring several Losties to the Others.
