Update: 15:15 Here are Today's stats courtesy of Locke4God.
STATISTICAL UPDATE:
IT'S A MIRACLE!!! Somebody missed today's match. In fact 2 people in the top 45 missed, which means a gigantic 96% got it right, but still a whole 2 missed, which brings us to a grand total of 2 who have missed over the past 3 days. That's 99% correctness! How is it that it seems to have gotten so much easier this late in the game? Remember way back in the first round when everybody thought this was the hardest version of this tournament yet?
Sadly, for the 3rd straight day, nobody within 3 of the lead were among the losers. The 23 brackets that figure encompasses were correct today, and all of those were 100% through the entire 3rd Round. Most of them are in agreement through the rest of the tournament, so as we start the 4th Round, it's not too early to say that we need a bit of an upset to see some movement at the top of the standings.
And so since today's 2 misses of the top 45 come exclusively from those who are currently 4 behind the leaders, that means that group were correct only 74% of the time. I think what that tells you is that the cream has risen to the top. The top 23 (Those within 3 of the lead) have not missed in 3 days, while those 4, 5, 6 or more away from the lead have been slowly dwindling. But many of you have maintained the pace, and so if you are in one of those groups, and got through round 3 without a blemish, then you may just have a chance heading into round 4, where points of course will be worth 8.
After today,
3 Brackets - will maintain a share of the lead at 93 Points 5 Brackets - will remain just 1 point down with 92 total Points 3 Brackets - will still hold onto a 9th Place tie with 91 Points 12 Brackets - round out the top 23 who haven't missed in days with 90 Points, and,,, 20 Brackets - down from 22 going into the weekend, will hold at 4 points off the lead.
The MAX Point standing look exactly the same with 1 exception where a bracket is guaranteed a loss early in the 4th Round. So don't look to move up there. Baring an upset, it looks as though most of these brackets have very solid picks the rest of the way. It will be interesting to see how our remaining key matches turn out.
Congratulations to The Constant for taking the 7th Qtr-Final place in a very easy win.
The Constant 2184 81% The Brig 518 19%
