Episode 5.13 - Some Like it Hoth - Ratings

Because Bones aired instead of Lie to Me, it’s hard to do completely direct comparisons to last week, but everything was up from last week, a bit, including American Idol. TV watching in general was up a bit from last Wednesday. Lost bounced (at least a little) off its series lows last week to a 3.9 in the demo. The second installment of The Unusuals dropped from last week’s premiere of a 2.1 rating down to a 1.9 rating. People said I was crazy for predicting the show would be canceled with only one data point, but now there’s two.

Growing week to week opposite Fox's "American Idol" in the 9 o'clock hour, ABC's "Lost" beat out its CBS and NBC competition in the slot by wide margins among Adults 18-49. In fact, "Lost" marked its 12th straight original airing as Wednesday's No. 1 scripted TV show in Adults 18-49.

* "Lost" was up week to week in both Total Viewers (+5% - 9.0 million vs. 8.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+3% - 3.9/10 vs. 3.8/10).

DVR Playback for "Lost": Season-to-date, "Lost" is one of the Top 5 most popularly recorded and played back shows on television in Total Viewers and the No. 2 biggest gainer in Adults 18-49, pulling in an additional 1.9 million viewers and picking up 1.0 rating point among young adults (a +21% jump) from the first-reported Live + Same Day numbers to the finalized Live + 7 Day averages.
