Congratulations to The Main Beach Camp who manage to scrap through to the last Round 3 place by 52% vs 48%.
Today sees the start of Round 3 which should give us some interesting match-ups. We have 8 On and 8 Off Island Locations.
A big thanks once again to Dharmageddon for some great new Location photos for this round along with a description of each.
So without any further ado, here is the first of the matchups for Round 3.
As always let us know who you voted for and why.
The Listening Station was featured in our very first, and perhaps only, real-time off-island scene. At the very end of Season 2 of Lost, we were greeted to a snow swept bunker of sorts. Inside were to be found two Portuguese men playing chess. It soon became apparent that it was their job to track major electromagnetic anomalies. It is thought that Locke’s failure to enter the Swan Station code, and Desmond’s subsequent turning of the failsafe key, alerted the Portuguese men to the location of the island. It also turned out that the Portuguese men are working for Desmond’s long time love interest; Penny.
The Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute is a mental treatment facility, appearing and featuring in Hurley’s flashbacks. It brought us such character favourites as the numbers man Leonard Simms, the make-believe Dave, and even the mysterious Libby. Locke’s mother was also treated there for schizophrenia. The Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute has played a key and central role in the storytelling of the unlucky numbers. It was there that Hurley overheard Leonard Simms constantly repeating the numbers, which in turn led to Hurley winning the lottery by using the very same numbers.
