In last nights episode of Chuck, there was a brief but funny reference to Lost and in particular Oceanic Flight 815. Thanks to everyone who emailed in with this info. Below is the particular clip in question.

i heard something along, "oceanic flight 815 was shot down by surface ............"
That was cool!
i saw people actually taking this seriously on other forums... like.. "wait.. why are they telling us this on CHUCK?!?!? im being spoiled!!!"
lol
LOL Monkstro :)
And it's on the Peacock channel.
That is now the second time that NBC has included a Lost moment in their programming. Why would they continue to do this?
I understand that Jerry Seinfeld mentions LOST on "30 Rock" this week!
I thought he said something about Flight 815 being shot down by a subterranean house cat?
they do this because Lost is a phenomenon. I have a feeling that writers for other shows wish they could come up with something as intelligent as Lost, and they include these things as an homage to the geniuses behind our favorite show.
LOL! cool!
Cute little reference, but I still think "Chuck" looks like a retarded show.
othersville - the subterranean part was about the subterranean tunnels at the denver airport.
I heard something closer to the original poster - shot down by something or other, then it cuts into the subterranean tunnels at denver
Oceanic flight 815 was shot down by subterranean surface to air kitties?
OMG SPOILED!
On The Office, Dwight is a big Lost fan. He has mentioned Lost a few times! Specifically in the interrogation episode, when he asked Ryan if he knew what the Dharma initiative was.
Lost is all over the TV! I remember someone noticing something about rental cars-a peice of paper shown up on multiple shows that Hurley used in Sydney....
I've always known tha Lost was a big-to-do. But when the "World Series of Pop Culture" asked a participant to list 16 of Lost regular survivors I cheered! (BTW, before the participant missed the question he said "my wife is gonna kill me"...lol)
In desperate housewives, Andrew was watching LOST when his mother walked in his room...
I laughed when I saw that..
They were watching Lost on "Notes from the Underbelly" too.
Okay, I have to admit; Chuck looks pretty stupid, but I laughed at the "Well, that's just a turtle." thing.
that show that was on abc for like a month last spring Notes From The Underbelly. I actually watched it and they all watched LOST. One of the character's phone rings and she says not now i'm watching lost!! So is the concensus they are just saying hats off to a great show, thought we would mention it in our show??
This is what I got when i slowed down the volume on my computer:
Oceanic flight 815 was shot down by substandard war craft subterranean capitol of the meet decorating action of airport phase 4.
No clue what it all means but I'm about 90% certain that this is what was said.
Thanks for posting this! I was so "lost" when he started rambling incoherently after name-dropping Oceanic Flight 815. Normally, I keep Closed Captions on so I can read what I don't catch right away but unfortunately not this time.
there was an "815" reference on the season premiere of Ugly Betty too
funny
Was there?
I watched it and I never heard anything.
lol, A nice wink to Lost
Chuck is going to get cancelled. XD... I think that this Tv show is a little retarded as well...
Anyway, nice reference.
lol thats awesome; this show, not so much
What? No mentioned the Venture Bros. reference?
Episode: Fallen Arches
The Monarch: Oh, but which door to choose? That one could have fun, surprises, and a year's supply of turtle wax behind it... or the polar bear from Lost!
Today, at work, I was working on an account, and the account # started out 815. This customer was obviously working for Dharma. Must investigate further....
I actually like "Chuck" and all it's cheesiness. I could find much worse new shows on tv (I'm looking at you Cavemen).
The closed captioning says "flight 815 was shot down by surface to air missles". And I don't know this show is alright I hope it makes it. Plus Adam Baldwin is great he needs something good to be a part of after the crap cancelation of Firefly.
Jayne!!!!
I agree, wally!
Anyone see the new episode of Law & Order: SVU tonight? The actor who played Anthony Cooper on Lost played the owner of Cooper's Rare Books on SVU. That has to be a small shout out to us Lost fans, no?
Seriously, what's with calling something 'retarded'? Is it an American thing? It's horrible.
As for the clip, very amusing!
i'm going to stand up for chuck. i actually enjoy watching it. i'm not sure how long it will last, but it's what i watch mondays at 7 for now. i agree with whoever said before- there are far worse new shows around this fall.
That was fun and probaly all were getting until February, so I enjoyed it!
Always LOST Dominating the world
Seriously, what's with calling something 'retarded'? Is it an American thing? It's horrible.
It's an American TEENAGER thing that some adults have unfortunately latched onto. Same with calling things and people "gay" if one disapproves.
Yes, it is horrible. It needs to stop.
I think Chuck is a lot of fun, and hey there's not too much on TV to watch that is fun without being too fluffy or crude.
just my humble opinion...
ok I love Chuck and when I heard this...I thought of you Dark. I was like..omg this needs to go on his site.
Ha hilarious! I love lost allusions
You guys actually have to give Chuck a chance, i found the first two episodes actually pretty good compared to some of hte other crap on tv. Just give it a chance, just like people gave lost a chance.
