So does that mean that they don't get off the island before the 23rd of Feb ?

yeah, whats with the date? i never played the game. Was the game played in lost time(as in the plane crashed sept 2004, so is the game in 2004 or in current timeline of 2008)?
omg this will totally be worth it my guess is that somehow this guy will get on the island and then be part of the show....
I just checked on the maxwell group site, now it just says "File not found"

Maybe in the same way that it became apparent that this ARG was going to end with the discovery of the 815 wreckage?

I find it unlikely.
A revival of the ARG could be cool. Especially now that they've (Hoodlum) done it once and have a chance to improve on it. I'm all for it if they do, especially in the coming weeks or over the fall/summer hiatus.
As for Sam Thomas ending up on the island, I doubt it, but then again I suppose anything is possible. The actor, Rodger Corser is in a 13-part mini series called "Underbelly) but they may already be done shooting that, so it would be interesting to see what happens.
My impression, however, is that ABC and the executive producers of Lost will leave Sam Thomas and his story in Hoodlum's hands.
I honestly wish they had a TLE 2, and not this.
Well the first one, according to Darlton, wasn't canon. It sure was a lot of fun, though. Basically, nobody should read too deeply into the date Sam has posted.
Unfortunately we all thought that TLE was going to continue when we heard MittellJerk say he had the virus and would continue.... Sadly, the ARG didn't...
Well, Darlton said that a TLE 2 would be possible for this summer.

the new picture has the word "OCEANIC" in the background as an overlayed image. It has also got some of the "well-known" equations which they placed as Easter Eggs in the game... it would be awesome if the game was actually back during this hiatus (although the game itself was not that awesome; having something 'Lost'-connected to do during these 4 weeks would be great)

They could easily blend Sam Thomas story in with the story of the Oceanic 6, wich will be the season finale.
Survivors from the plane his partner Sonya was on...would be of major interest for Sam! I would love a ARG storyline about Sam trying to get in touch with Kate in prison, Jack in the hospital..perhaps even flying off to Korea trying to speak to Sun..but everytime he tries he is blocked by 'The Economist', Widmore, Maxwell Group, Abaddon...whatever.

I really don't want this to come back over a TLE 2. That was much more complex and interesting, and it was fun to hunt for clues, and tibits of info. This game was too easy and meh.
the problem i had with the TLE was that it was way to hard, yes it was cool and fun but not every fan could look do alot it and its not everyone got to play some of its games, i miss one because i had to work it pissed me off bad. i like find 815 because is was constant, fun and at times easy.
I'd be very surprised if Find815 comes back. But the question is: is it going to come during this one month break?
yeah your right gokan its a little weird its coming back for month maybe they set it up just in case the writers didn't sign a deal. i hope dose or they setting something up for the summer break who knows.

I think the date its important. says Feb 23th. We know that actual timeline in Lost is on last days of Dec 2004, so i have to asume that Sam's date is in Feb 2005. Wich means that Oceanic 6 didnt appear on public for almost 2 months after the actual fact from the island.
Someones said here that date dont have any importance. definitively thats wrong! during the hole game they haved special care to hide any date references, and now, coming from nothing they give us a date without a year... mmmh... this means something for sure.
My theory is that survivors came out of the island in a few days (before the finale of season 4) wich means that is in 1st days of january 2005.. so, why Sam didnt knew it in february? becouse january 2005 in the island its a very different time outside the island. for the world's timeline, our survivors came to light much more later, and that explains why all people believe that aaron its kate's son (she can get a babe in only 90 days).

Why does anyone care about this, the creators have already said that none of this is candid. In the original Find 815 it said 2007 so you can't believe anything in this game. I think its a waist of time and doesn't mean anything to Lost.
It was entertaining, moses. And some parts of it are canon (like Christiane I being there to find Black Rock but finding the fake 815 instead).
And the 2007 thing was just a mistake. I thought it was clear that the story took place in 2004.
Well putting the fact that people could find the game fun you must relize you won't learn anything new about Lost. Did the first find 815 show us anything new about the story of lost that we needed to know, no.
Find815 was alot of fun and helped ease the wait for Season 4 to start. Everything in it is relevant to the show and unlike the Lost Experience it has known actors who could very easily be brought into Lost. The producers have said that it is Canon. By the way... we did actually learn some things... We learned that The Christiane I was sent by Maxwell Corp aka Widmore. I hope they bring it back soon so that the wait for season 4 to return is a little easier.
The people on here complaining are probably just bitter because they could'nt figure out any of the puzzles.
Well to tell you the truth i got all the puzzles and beat the game. It wasn't really that hard but your wrong the Creators, the people who only matter said find 815 was not candid. Ok, so Maxwell set up the freighter, WHO CARES, ok we learned that widmore runs maxwell, who Cares, we figured that out on the show. Nothing in this game has any effect on Lost. And i hope your kidding about the actor statment. Theres no way anyone in find 815 would find any facetime on Lost.
If you don't care, it's alright. But other people may find those ARGs/games entertaining :)
@robert: The Maxwell Group was something that Hoodlum came up with.
But I think everything else in the game is canon to the show. Nothing contradicted the game so far.

b) the producers have said a few things, then went back and changed their mind (aka: time travel)
c) its fun. the playstation game 24 had nothing to do with advancing the plot of 24, but for those who enjoy the series it was entertaining to play the characters you watch every week.

And FIND815 *is* important to LOST (just like TLE, where we found more about The Hanso Foundation/DHARMA). Those who played it know exactly how Christiane I got to the fake wreckage. Until the show contradicts the game, it is canon.
I liked TLE better than Find 815 storywise, but the eng of TLE was a bit of a bummer actorwise, because the actress playing Persephone seemed to lose interest and enthousiasm.
I would LOVE TLE2 though, maibe without Rachel Blake (Persephone) bit WITH Dj Dan.

But there are allways some things that match with the show, even if it's not canon. TLE wasn't canon, but the Hanso Foundation is real (see for instance the logo on Harpers social psychology degree)
This may be a stretch, but i've been browsing screencaps and Sam Thomas is by far the closest match to "Widmore's Victim".
He looks incredibly similar in appearance. Perhaps Ben has Sam working for him and this is the person Ben has on video as blindfolded and captured.

Remember that Sam's robot didn't last for long down there. They may have sent some more robots after Sam found the fake wreckage.

one clarification. Darlton was pretty clear about what is/isn't canon. If it's not in the show, it's not canon. Period. This is their definition, not mine
So it's inaccurate to say that Find815 is canon until the show proves otherwise; actually, it's quite the opposite -- it ISN'T canon until the show confirms it (like it already has for many things).
@bradyonfire: Vow, 'till now I thought that Gault was a close match, but Sam does look more like that beaten up guy, who Ben claims works for him.

It's been like five days, and I'm dying to know if the game'll be back or not.
I think I have BAD NEWS FOR ALL FIND 815 FANS. If you recall the initial News release say the ARG was going to be avail during the hiatus and for 8 weeks after the seasons started.
I think we are seeing the ultimate conclusion of the ARG.
moses- there were several things in the game that have shown up this season, things we didn't know before. Pen's address for one. While this may not "advance the story" or give answers, it is still interesting. It adds another dimension to watching the show.
At this time, we don't know what else we may have seen during the game that could mean something to the show.
