BBC Worldwide has pre-sold its adventure series Sinbad to the broadcasters SPACE in Canada and Canal+ in France, with a second window confirmed for NRJ 12 in France.
ADVERTISEMENT Sinbad is a 21st century take on the 8th century iconic hero, starring Elliot Knight, Naveen Andrews, Sophie Okonedo and Timothy Spall. It will have a world premiere on Sky 1 HD in July. The pay-TV channel Canal+ picked up the first-window rights in the territory, while digital terrestrial channel NRJ 12 already picked up the second window. Channel Nine Australia picked up the series last year. Sinbad is an Impossible Pictures production for Sky and BBC Worldwide produced with the assistance of Nine Network Australia. BBC Worldwide holds the international distribution rights.
