Early.....nice surprise!!
First, I thought it would have been Thursday.
cool. same time as last year
whoever tried blacking out the episode titles didn't an absolutely terrible job
Great! Keep the show on Wednesday and @ 8pm CT. Best night & time.
Less than 3 months away!!
did*
cool.
So four episodes, a two week hiatus, and then 12 straight?
I can live with that!
If not for the presumed Olympic hiatus, they likely would have started on 1/27 or 2/3, anyway. So I see this as good news!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's only just over 11 weeks away!! Definitely something to cure my January blues!!
Why do they blacking out the titles?
We already know 'em...
@ lostgirl: Yep! Only 81 more days!!!
@LucAltaiR: Beacuse there are a handful of people who consider episode titles to be spoilers. And Dark respects that - when posting anything outside of the spoilers or rumours section.
@LucAltaiR -
Shhh - u not in spoiler section!
I can't wait!!! :p

lol, you r bloody damn right, i forgot this is not spoiler section...
I blacked them out because Episode Titles are spoilers but wanted to share the actual spreadsheet with everyone.
Pretty great news! Only 81 days till 6 season, can't wait for that, though!
Dark, can you send me this list clear, with episode titles? Please??
Here: zvt2007@rambler.ru
81 days are alotO.O
Yes!! Glad it will be back on Wednesday, start a countdown clock!
This puts the series finale (episodes/hours 17 and 18) on May 5th.
Which means there could be at least 3 off-weeks.
Personally, I suspect the week before the series finale is an off week, to stir up the hype and to run a few hours of programming to try and get viewers who have stopped watching back on board.
Then there is the Olympics issue...either way, I think we are getting between 1 and 3 off-weeks. Oh well, 81 days is nothing!

So can you post the clear version on the other section?
I'd like to watch it you know, just for curiosity.
It's good to know finally, I really hope that this is set in stone and there won't be any last minute changes...
Thunderstorm,
Actually - assuming they do have the two week Olympic hiatus - that would put the finale on May 19th:
1/20: Two-hour Premier
1/27: Episode 2
2/3: Episode 3
2/10: Episode 4
2/17: Break for the Olympics
2/24: Break for the Olympics
3/3: Episode 5
3/10: Episode 6
3/17: Episode 7
3/24: Episode 8
3/31: Episode 9
4/6: Episode 10
4/13: Episode 11
4/20: Episode 12
4/27: Episode 13
5/5: Episode 14
5/12: Episode 15
5/19: Two-hour Finale
I don't think they'll air the finale on 5/19 because that is when the American Idol finale would be and ABC hasn't put Lost against the AI finale since season 3.
You never know.
It's all still conjecture, at this point. But I definitely don't see them running all the way to May 26th.
Maybe the Olympic hiatus won't happen, after all (ABC still hasn't confirmed it). And they'll just run straight through May 5th (or May 12th, if they decide to air a recap special on May 5th).
Actually, I take that second line back. I can easily see them running all the way to May 26th.
Either way, it'll all be over in less than seven months. :)
I knew it! Awesome news!
This grid only provides us with the date (Wednesday, January 20th, 2010) but not the standard time that LOST will air each week. I'm curious--with ABC's comedy block doing well, will they put LOST on at 10 p.m. EST? Wouldn't that keep it out of the way of American Idol, too?
Less than 3 months but still feels so far away!
I had a feeling that would be the date. The tutoring classes on the LU website happen every few weeks and the final one is Jan 20th. Seems likely that the final class would be released the night of the premiere.
Thanks for the info. Now I can ask off at work.
And it is my daughter's 13th birthday! Guess she gets a LOST premiere party whether she wants it or not. ;)
Thanks, Dark, and even though we know the story has to end, still gives me a pang in my heart ....kudos for this wonderful LOST site. :)
I agree Evan. I think they'll change the day of the week. ABC has built a great block of highly-rated comedy on Wednesdays. It doesn't seem smart to upset the solidification of promising, new programming that could give them years of revenue for a show in its final season. I think a move is especially likely since Lost is probably one of the few show whose audience is so fanatical that they would watch it regardless of which day it's on. My guess is that after they get the numbers from sweeps, they'll move it to Monday or Tuesday. It's too bad there isn't room to couple it with Flash Forward on Thursday, since I doubt they'll break up the two hour block of Gray's stuff.

I don't see any slot on any day that would be a good spot for Lost. Monday is filled already, same thing for Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday are wasteland of ratings so it's just not possible. The only good day where it can fit is Tuesday, but I guess that is going to be the place for Happy Town, V and comedy block Scrubs-Better Off Ted and of course DWTS later in the spring.
This means that Lost is on Wednesday for sure, what it's not sure if that it's going to be on 9pm or 10pm. I'd bet on the 1st one, but I suppose they're equally possible.
That's only true if they're not willing to move anything else. I think their desire to keep their highly rated comedy block together may be greater than their desire to not move other shows to make room for Lost.
Great news that we finally have the premiere date! However I have to say the ramp up to this season is a bit sad, knowing it will be the final season. Knowing the premier date now really makes it sink in that this really is the beginning of the end :(
Kelvin,
I was just saying, straight through it puts it on May 5th, so there is room for three off-weeks, if it happens that way. I don't think the Olympic break is a forgone conclusion.
Also, (as mentioned above) after considering the American Idol finale is on the 19th (if it's on a Wednesday) you simply wouldn't, under any circumstance put the series finale of LOST up against it, unless you didn't want to be programming director very long. Maybe a clip show would be perfect against it.
So after considering all of that IMO, it's either the 5th (no breaks) 12th (one break) or 26th (three breaks). And I would assume at least one clip show before the series finale.
So I'd guess, no Olympic interference = May 12th or Olympic interference = May 26th.
Here are the finale dates according to Lostpedia.
Exodus= May 25
LTDA= May 24
Looking Glass =May 23
TNPLH= May 29
The Incident= May 13
I don't think waiting to May 26th, (when AI is already done) is a bad idea, if I'm working at ABC. But I don't really know what other considerations there are.
2 months and a half to go...thanks dark -)
The blacked out text are just the episodes titles that we have already revealed in the spoilers section
Nice, I think thats like the same time for the last series.
Heres my blog, if you want to check it out: Lost Season 6
Great news!
If it's true, then only 80 days left for Lost. wohoo!
I don't know the episode titles, and im a massive lost fan. But im determined not to be spoiled, even if it means i don't see anyone and shut off my computer and phone until the end.
Okay maybe not quiet that bad.
I corrected your list KeLvin Wolf. Since there are 18 hours this season and the first and last two are crammed together.
1/20: Episode 1/2 Premiere
1/27: Episode 3
2/3: Episode 4
2/10: Episode 5
2/17: Olympics
2/24: Olympics
3/3: Episode 6
3/10: Episode 7
3/17: Episode 8
3/24: Episode 9
3/31: Episode 10
4/6: Episode 11
4/13: Episode 12
4/20: Episode 13
4/27: Episode 14
5/5: Episode 15
5/12: Episode 16
5/19: Episode 17/18 Finale

Yup. That's what I predicted last week.
And I'm stickin' to it!
If they're not breaking for the olympics... it would stick the finale at 5/5, which wouldn't make any sense... they're gonna want it to air later than that.
If they're starting the 20th, we're going to have a haitus one way or another.
Crikey!
I'll be in England (Hinxton, Cambridge) for 2 weeks right around that time. Unless I can convince my work to send me during the supposed 2 week hiatus I'll be missing some episodes and have to catch up. Anyone on here near Hinxton, Cambridge that I could meet and come over and watch the premiere or other early episodes depending on when I am over there? Still hoping they have a party on the beach for the premiere. I get a little say in when my trip is but I probably would need to know blackout dates by TOMORROW! :(
Oh and BTW I'm in the US and will be my first time out of the country. Look out England, here I come!
Does anyone know the premiere date for the UK? N.B it airs on Sundays over here...:)
