26/28, 3/4 yesterday.
The Economist
The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
The Other 48 Days
There's No Place Like Home
As bad as it would be to have your PC blow up, it would also be kind of cool.
"Hey, I'm home! Guess I'll just go and check my e-mail…"
[spontaneous explosion]
"Holy sh—!"
Unless DarkUFO meant it figuratively, in which case, it just sucks.
Looks like 3/4 today :(
-The Economist
-The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
-WHAT KATE DID
-There's No Place Like Home (Parts 1, 2 & 3)
I am so annoyed at myself, as soon as I saw the polls I was like, WHY THE HELL DID I PICK THOSE 2.
2/4. :(
Meet Kevin Johnson
Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
The Other 48 Days
Theres no place like home
looks like its 3/4 for me today
Arrghghg once again.
I chose Meet Kevin Johnson over the Economist :/
I am surprised about that...I'm not a huge fan of Sayid, and while I thought it was a great twist seeing him carry out murders for Ben, the episode itself wasn't great, and the on-island stuff was intriguing I spose...
But with Meet Kevin Johnson we had the return of Michael after over a seasno away, as well as the murder of Rousseau and Karl. Michael's story of what had happened since he left was great, especially the idea of the island 'not letting him go'.
Anyways my picks:
Meet Kevin Johnson
Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
The Other 48 Days
There's No Place Like Home
Looks like 3/4 today.
Now on 25/28 after yesterday's results.
My Picks:
The Economist
The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
The Other 48 Days
There's No Place Like Home
Looks like it's 29/32 for Round 1.
I'm still hoping for Meet Kevin Johnson...
Come on people, we learned that Tom is gay :p how is that no a dealbreaker?
WHY did i pick meet kevin johnson and what kate did???
my score looked so good in the beginning :(
28/32 now...
I'm 23/28 now.
The Economist
The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
What Kate Did
There's No Place Like Home (Parts 1, 2 & 3)
MKJ is a pro episode...
"Were shooting things"
"I thought this was a rescue mission"
The freighters are mysterious up until this point where we first see the mercs in action with guns and know theyre looking to do some killing.
I thought this ep did better last year...
25/28 so far, and looks like another 4/4 today! woo, i'm not out yet!!!
I'm so glad that the picture of Ana and Eko is included in the The Other 48 Days collage, as that scene is one of my favorite Lost moments of all time. Eko tells her "you waited forty days to cry", and she breaks down into tears as he holds her in her arms, a beautiful scene in the middle of the jungle... It was a beautiful moment. Ana got a bad rap from the fans.
And I think Meet Kevin Johnson is HIGHLY underrated. It was a very dark episode and illustrated how scarred Michael had become as a result of what he had done. And it answered a lot of mysteries.
Compared to the last few days, these 4 are all slam dunks
The Economist
The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
The Other 48 Days
There's No Place Like Home
Have 24/28. Hopefully it'll get better farther in the tournament.
...Did we ever find out what R.G. stands for on Naomi's bracelet? I can't remember
STATISTICAL UPDATE:
It looks like 64.7% of those brackets with 2 or fewer mistakes so far will be perfect in todays grouping.
That will leave 2 overall perfect brackets at the end of the first round, 21 brackets with 1 loss, and approximately 81 brackets with 2 losses.
If you have 1 loss your rank at the end of round 1 will be 3rd, and if you have 2 losses your rank will be 24th heading into round 2.
But don't worry if you lost a match today. Almost all of the 35.3% of brackets who lost a match, only lost 1. 2 brackets however suffered major losses into the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
right you are Locke4God, and as long as your first round mess-ups arent your second round picks, you should be fine!
@ veebree - no we didn't. Nobody has a clue, and in fact, I think there is a general consensus that it's one of those mysteries that won't be solved. I think almost everybody would agree it's very low on the list of the ones that need to be solved anyway.
It looks like Round 1 will end with only one person having a perfect 32/32 score.
I voted for What Kate Did, but I picked The Other 48 Days in my bracket, so I'm not too broken up.
This is by far my favorite Kate episode. Here confession at the end to Sawyer/Wayne is just great. I wish the writers had explored whole "never be good" part of Kate more, instead of only her love life and her "born to run" tendencies. Way more interesting and clever.
Wow, I'm totally surprised.
TLADOJB everyone absolutely hated it when it came out... did everyone suddenly come to love it or is there something about the lie that sucks so bad that I just can't see?
Oh well.
- The Economist (only one I was a bit afraid of, but with 64-36 at the moment I'd say it's over).
- Life And Death....
- The Other 48 Days
- There's No Place Like Home
@ Greg Dean - I believe 2 people will have perfect brackets, and not just one.
@ jake3988: I thought most people liked TLADOJB and it was even nominated for the emmy alongside LaFleur. It also becomes a landmark episode once we realize Locke was never brought back to life and that was his real death.
@ UFOLite, and really more @Jake3988 - With an episode like TLADOJB, you have a few haters out there who scream very loudly. So unless you really look at it and figure out that most people did like the episode, then it sounds like most people didn't.
What is going on here? What Kate Did is clearly better than The Other 48 Days. Fuck Ana Lucia.
@ Darren - Really? The Other 48 days was pretty cool, and I'd say very unique among lost episodes. I'm not bashing you, but What Kate Did is pretty low in the rankings. There aren't many episodes it would beat. And what's up with the Ana Lucia hateraid you're pouring? She was cool. At least I thought, am I in the minority here?
I didnt like her the first time watching, but everytime i watch season 2 i like her more and more.
Yeah, Anna was cool. Actually I always liked her, but I just have this thing for her. She's just begging you to treat her wrong. Yeah!! Plus she was in Resident Evil and Terminator 2. She's just a bad little girl.
The more I see of the female characters still on the show, the more I miss Ana Lucia :D
Ana Lucia was just awful. Sure she had some tough circumstances, but that doesn't give her an excuse for treating everybody so terribly. She couldn't relate to people at all without using intimidation and threats. I just couldn't stand her. You can only cut people like that slack to a certain extent before they have to own up to there shortcomings.
You'll find in these cups that people really don't what Kate did and her centrics don't do well.
Ana Lucia was the most horid character on Lost IMHO. Nothing worst than a rogue cop with a gun, this was a very scarey character Darlton created. However, the episode involved more than just Ana Lucia and seeing what happened to the tailies was far bettre than caring what Kate did.
