I bet this will be the picture for the Season 4 DVD cover but with extra characters such as the Freighter guys.

I think it may actually be a 9 since the image in the water is a reflection. It looks like they may all have wet hair, (excluding Locke, of course) not just Desmond.

I know that others have noticed the buildings in the water. I just thought of something today. There are 12 people above and there are 12 buildings (if you count the one below the "L" and a little to the left as being 2 small building). I'm not real good at recognizing buildings but could there be a building representing where each character is from?
Dammit, Lyly Ford's name ruined it down the bottom!! Is there an untagged version by any chance?
It's not a nine, remember we saw a six in that Season 4 trailer last year. What's up with all this?

I'm beginning to think its not buildings... they look like they could be Doric (or other) columns from ancient ruins. If they were buildings there would be more variety in the shapes of the structures and window patterns. Having said all of that, I still see the close resemblance to a city skyline.

Saw the "6", too. Thought it was a face at first.
This is the first time the skyline has looked like a skyline to me. For a long time, I thought it might be rocks (or the ruins, as someone mentioned). But now one of the columns looks like a building. I can see the windows and everything. My question is -- what city?

I love how iconic it looks.
My b/f (who doesn't watch LOST) saw me examining the poster upside down and commented on how it looks like an eye in the water. The number 6 or 9 as the pupil. I can see it now.

Hmmm...I don't like it that much. It seems kinda empty (comparing with last season's amazing poster).

Why is the cast so small? There's so much sky and so much water and just wee little bit of cast in the center.
Is that a search light on them or the appearance of God coming from the sky?
Maybe the possible interpretation of the "6" as a "9" is intentional. Perhaps there is possible confusion as to the number itself, though I refrain from adding anything else due to the risk of spoilering.
I see the 6 too. I think its probably a 9 upside down as the reflection. Maybe its the number of people that get off the island?
I don't really like this poster. The photoshopped images of the cast are not very well done. They just don't seem to fit together very well.

It has to be a six. A nine would not reflect properly to appear as a six. You would have to reflect it top to bottom and then side to side to make it look right.
Has to be a 6. But what does it mean? Six seasons? Doesn't make much sense.

It does sort of look like an eye with a 6 as the pupil. The tallest bldg has windows and looks like a building from Chicago or downtown NYC. 16 more days! Cannot wait!

On the commercials that i saw on the tv (which I scream every time i see it btw) they keep saying some will leave, some will not. I don't know if its just me but maybe the 6/9 represents how many will leave or not. This is entirely a guess so don't take it too seriously but that seems the most logical guess.

The tallest building looks like the Library Tower in Los Angeles, but the other buildings don't really fit with the whole LA skyline. Maybe it's a compilation of several cities?
my guess is LA but it's not all of LA if it is. who knows who knows. can't wait to find out!!
If that 6 is a reflection it would be backwards to begin with.
As for the skyline...that does sort of look like the US Bank building buuuut the LA skyline isnt that spaced out.

i believe the skyline is Chicago. If you look at the tallest building really close, it tiers down...the same way the Sears Tower does...anyone agree/disagree?
