amazing!!!! how do u know dark???
Cool! Even though it's the last day of the month, the fact that it's January makes it feel so much closer!
here we go!!! http://www.abcmedianet.com/Web/progcal/dispDNR.aspx?id=121407_01
OH S*!T YEAH BABY! thats almost a week before what we were anticipating! Sweet ass! I was hoping it would start earlier. I was thinking if they are done them now, why not start showing them sooner? thats just my "on lost denial" thoughts though.
Sweetness! Comes out on my birthday, then.
Yay! Thursday nights are my night off from work! Couldn't be happier. Yay!
ups...we were post on the same time Dark :-)))) sorry
Sweet! almost there... let's just hope we don't get screwed after the eighth episode airs and have to wait another year for the strike to end to see the conclusion to season 4. This hiatus period has put some serious perspective on waiting a week per episode, it makes that time period feel infinitely smaller, i shall never complain again.
OMG! First time I read it like "January 31st 2009" and I freaked out :D Then I recognized the situation and laughed - and there is almost one month left for the show (don't consider these two weeks of December :P). I need to re-schedule my college according to these airtime (what kind of a student am I! :DD) Thanx Dark!
I think what we need to remember is that unless the strike doesn't end intil late March, early April, we will still get more than 8 episodes. maybe not an entire, unenterupted season, but in all likelyhood they will be able to make at least one more.
lol these reactions are hilarious.. it's not like there's anything else on thursdays at 9 right? for that matter, it's not like there's going to be anything else on tv period. hopefully lost's ratings will go through the roof :D
cool they are replacing Grey's Anatomy with Lost! LOL. I'm just glad it's not Monday like it was rumored. I don't really have a Thursday night show. OMG! It will be going up against The Office. ugh!
i think this is a horrible day.. only because now, LOST will be going up against The Office, Scrubs and CSI: Las Vegas....
it would have been MUCH better had it been Monday's @ 8pm... because then, it wouldnt be MUCH to go up against.. besides Prison Break and a couple comedies, like How I Met Your Mother...
going up against CSI is just like going up against American Idol... it's not a smart idea...
but like ive always said.. no matter when LOST airs.. ill be watching it...
See, I'm probably one of the only people who would have preferred Lost air on Mondays. That's the same night my second favorite show ever (MacGyver) used to be on.
Poo... no I'll have to spend my weekends working on LFL stuff. Oh well, it's Lost, and it's coming back. What's not to like?
yay !! thank darkkkkkkkkkk
i don't care about the day !!
come one LOST RETURNS !!!!!!!!!
wow !!! bring promotion !!! ^^
Melissa: The Office has run out of Episodes. I don't think there will be a conflict.
I like it. Next semester, I don't have classes on thursdays, so I'll be home for Lost!
Yes, but Monkstro, most of the usual Thursday night shows don't have any episodes left in the can. I think this is just a temporary fill for ABC because they realize that the strike isn't going to end any time soon.
For the second half of Season 4 (whenever we get it) I bet ABC moves it around again. Unless they've really lost that much faith in Grey's Anatomy.
Monkstro: The Office and Scrubs will have finished by then. The Office shutdown production last month and Scrubs will have virtually no episodes left by then.
YES!!! SO HAPPY.
Thanks Dark!
psss, bad day for me, but lost is back !!!!!!!!!
thanks Dark
CRAP!!!!! i love lost and all but thursday is a rlly bad day for me! well, to look on the bright side january 31 is my freakin b-day oooooooooooooo ya!!!!!!!
I was really surprised by how quicky the Office ran out of episodes, actually. Like the strike happened, and they just had no more episodes in the can. Bad planning, if you ask me.
I thought Thursdays would be good, but I'm annoyed that they're moving it again, since next season when there's new episodes of stuff they'll probably move it off of thursdays again. Leave it in one place!
At least this shows how much confidence they have in it.
All I want for Christmas is this strike to end!
As long as Lost is on, i really don't care what day it is.
It's a good day and time for now with no other new shows on. When everything comes back though they better not keep it there. Same time as Supernatural, the Office, and Scrubs if I'm right.
um. i'm devasted. i have this thing- i love to watch it LIVE. but unfortunately i can't on thursday nights. i'm really sad. i have no reason to look foward to wednesdays now. wednesdays officially has no redeeming qualities anymore. i'm being dramatic, but i guess we should be happy we are getting anything at all. does anyone know if we are getting all 8? i had heard they might just be doing 6 now.
This almost has to be temporary. I can see them putting the show there this Spring when all the usual Thursday shows have nothing new to show, but I can't see them keeping the show there next season when it would mean permanently relocating Grey's Anatomy and putting Lost up against new episodes of CSI and the Office.
Well, at least they moved it back to 9:00. 10:00 was just too dang late.
Well thursdays are fine for me but good lord look at the rest of their schedule lol. who the hell are bruno and carrie ann and why do we care if theyre dancing lol. Also its good to see theyre giving oprah more chances to buy more viewers rofl and that just for laughs show is horrible, wtg abc buy up more crappy footage from the uk and russian networks.
that's amazing!
Now, the writers must get what they want to end with this strike and we'll be able to see a complete and wonderful season 4!
Uweeheehee!
This is good news.
G-man and Dark...
i totally understand that those shows will have run out of episodes.. i was actually commenting as if LOST were permanently moved to Thursdays @ 9pm... i didnt realize that day and time was reserved for Grey's... ive never seen the show.. although i DO know it's incredibly popular so there is no way they will permanently move Grey's....
so you guys are definitely right.. this is obviously a temporary move for the show... it must be the only day with nothing new on.. haha..
this sucks either way because we're only getting half of what we were supposed to get... and i KNOW Damon and Carlton arent too happy because they plotted this show out for three 16 episode seasons...
anyways.. we'll see how it goes.. i cant wait to get new LOST.. altho i wish it wasnt under these circumstances...
@hurleyrules, they're showing Just for Laughs in the US? LOL! That show is horrendous even for UK standards! They must be really desperate to have bought that!
I have class on Thursday nights this Spring! *tear*
I know some other people pointed it out, but I didn't like Thursday because of NBC's lineup...those shows will likely be reruns by then anyway, but I would like to keep Wednesdays for LOST, Thursdays to NBC.
I like this change, as long as its at the end of the week so it seems that lost is being taking serious and at nine is Very SWEET Daddy DOGS. Also anyone notice the Countdown on the homepage went down ten days, haha.
They could put it on at 4:00 am on Sunday mornings and it wouldn't make one bit of difference to me because I haven't watched the show on ABC since ca. The Man From Tallahassee. I download the HD BitTorrent the day after the show airs (it takes 15 minutes at the most) and watch it on my computer on Friday night, when I can stay up late and watch it multiple times; it's a better picture than my TV (even though I have digital cable) and all the commercials are cut out. I don't mind the smaller screen.
Plus, after I watch it the first time, I edit out all the stuff I don't care about and watch the stuff I *do* care about.
I am saying no only because I am gonna be out of town that day/weekend. So I won't be able to watch it until Sunday night! Bugger all!
Well I think it is ok I guess. I wonder why Thursdays though? Will see I can live with it for now!!!! I'm just happy its going to be back and sooner then expected!!!
lol @ "edit out the stuff i dont care about"... you actually edit stuff out of the show? why would you do something like that? i dunno, i guess i just prefer to watch the show the way Damon and Carlton meant for us to watch it... i couldnt imagine ever cutting out scenes from the show.. that seems crazy to me...
also... talking about the scheduling of LOST... they could air it at 3AM on Tuesday mornings and i would still watch it..
Best.Show.Ever.
This is pretty good news... as long as LOST is going to be the only show with all new episodes, they might as WELL claim the "best" timeslot in the week, and rack up the highest possible numbers.
that's great,i think is the best day and time slot for it!
Do we know for sure this is a temporary timeslot? I can't imagine them moving Grey's Anatomy which is a powerhouse for ABC and does well against CSI (although I personally don’t understand its popularity). My family loves Supernatural (my second favorite show) which is on at the same time. So even though they may be heading into reruns at the end of January, I hope the 2 shows don't permanently share the same time slot. And I wouldn’t want Lost permanently going up against CSI. That’s almost as bad as American idol (another show I don’t waste my time on anymore).
But I am thrilled Lost has been moved back to 9 PM. That 10 PM timeslot was a killer for a lot of my friends and I really think it affected ratings.
Yea, I'm not happy with this. Yea, some shows are running out of eps. But Greys and Supernatural are on that night. I'll have to download both of those shows in order to watch this. I was hoping for an 8pm time slot like season 1. Oh well. It's still great news. And a week earlier!
This is most certainly weak, don't they know that Thursday is the new Saturday?? It will probably boost ratings though, not to mention early releases are sweet.
http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index?pn=index
here it is Lost Fri FEb 1 12a//11c
So I don't know now ;/
@artur, um, maybe they havent posted it yet
I download it the day after, so it'd be Friday.
That's also my Ugly Betty day on TV haha.
So yeah, its ok, but i'd rather have it on another day so i can have a program a day.
The only reason why I'm not necessarily fine with this is that if Lost premieres earlier than planned, the beach party will be earlier than planned... which means that with my luck I'll miss the beach party by ONE DAY. *headdesk*
I'll arrive to Oahu Jan 27th (Sunday). God, I hope it won't be on the Saturday before that... Please Dark, give news on this as soon as you hear anything. Thanks!
I don't really care what day is it on anymore. What matters is that we'll get the new season one week earlier.
And that means the game has to be released in January :)
And we'll also get the last mobisode the week the new season premieres.
AND we're getting a rerun of the S3 finale on Jan. 30th to set up the new season. Just ONE more calendar page, finally!!!
I'd watch it any day of the week, so I'm fine with this and love that we're getting it a week earlier than we thought.
Thursday is the biggest TV watching day in the week, so of course they're giving it to Lost. Biggest ad dollars and all that. Seems like a bit of a no-brainer, in retrospect. *smacks forehead*
Jabs - That really sucks for you over probably missing the "Sunset on the Beach" preview. I know I'd be horribly disappointed to miss it by a day after I'd planned to be there for it. :(
I'm with ya Jabs, I'm dying to know what's happening with the Beach Premiere. This throws a wrench into my Hawaii vacation as well. Dark, do you know anything?
Sorry I have no info on the Premiere Beach Party in Hawaii. As soon as I do you can be assured that we will be posting the info here ASAP.
I love that its coming back a week earlier, except for the fact that i have a basketball games during the 1st 3rd and 5th episodes and i hate watching when its not live.
I am not fussed what day Lost is on. What I do know is that the Lost Game is due out on Jan 25th 08!!
My personal choice would have been either Tuesday's or Thursday's at 9pm.
Woo.
Thursdays at 9pm aren't bad, but I guess this means eight weeks of no This Old House Hour for me. ;)
I guess this move is okay for now since CSI and The Office won't be on due to the strike. Howver, if both those shows were on, this would be a stupid move. If there was no strike, I think Lost should be on Mondays at 8:00. I would rather DVR Prison Break and watch Lost, and then watch 24 at 9:00. That would make Monday nights awesome! Or it should be on Tuesday nights at 9:00. The only other thing on at that time is House. I think the American Idol shows just run from 8:00 to 9:00 Tuesdays through Thursdays. I think AI does have a few two hour shows from 8:00 to 10:00 on Tuesdays at the beginning, so maybe that's why they didn't want to move it to Tuesdays.
NO GREY'S ANATOMY?! =[
*sigh*
I guess it's going to be a 16 episode season for Grey's. -.-
My wife used to like Grey's, but now she even says it's not as good. It's hard watching a bunch of doctors who act like high school kids.
I'm fine with the new time slot as long as the strike is still going on. Otherwise, it would conflict with the usual NBC comedies that are on in that time slot, which are the only shows during the weekdays besides Lost and Heroes that I make it a point to watch.
Oh yeah, how could I forget about Heores on Monday nights. If the strike was not on, and Heroes was back, Mondays at 9:00 would be a bad time for Lost. And 24 would be on at 9:00 if it was back, too. I still think Tuesdays at 9:00 would be the best time if the strike was not going on. It might be up against AI for a couple weeks when they do the two hour shows at the beginning, but most of the time it would just be up against House. I'd rather go up against House than Heroes, 24, CSI, The Office and AI.
