Update: 27th April Vozzek has kindly allowed us to post a Chapter of his book for those that still might be considering purchasing it.
Update: 3rd Jan 18:00 Here is a new Review from DarkUFO regular Ricky.
It really is a great book, And I have no reason to lie! I am not being payed for this nor do I have any hidden agenda. As for the price of the book; 15 dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to what you'll pay for the DVDs or Blu-Rays of Lost after this is all said and done (and most of you will or have purchased the DVDs or blu-rays) and this actually sends you in the direction of answers as opposed to the show itself Ha Ha!
Admittedly The Author Vozzek has no more access to insider info than you or I do, but what makes this book so great is the Perception(s) that he has on the show. He knows his stuff, and he's obviously dissected the show even more so than I, and I thought that I had really gotten crazy with my re-watches, especially as of late!
There are things in this book that will not only surprise you, they will totally make you mark your place, get up and put in the appropriate DVD to see first hand what it is that Vozz here is talking about, and it will surprise you that you never saw, or heard whatever thing it is that compelled you to put in your DVD.
All in all This book is filled with so much info that you hate having to put it down to eat and sleep. It reads very quickly, with Vozzek's style of fast-paced, in your face, type prose. And it leaves you wanting more after you finish it. It's a great companion to the pre-season six experience, and any re-watch session.
I highly Recommend anyone who is a Theorist in their own right, or anyone who loves to read and comment on theories, and even the Lurkers who choose to stay in the cyber shadows and soak in all the genius that is the "combined consciousness" of the LOST online community, to please get your copy of this book. You will not be sorry you did.
Your Fellow "LOST" nerd:
Rick
Update: 3rd Jan 15:15 We're just starting to get some reviews in for Vozzek's book. As I get/find more I'll add them here. Also you can enter here to win a copy of the book (NOTE: This competition is now closed). Also EW's Doc Jensen featured Vozzek in his recent article here.
Review by Jack Powers
I am an avid fan of LOST and have been a regular reader of Vozzek's online postings. I always enjoyed the posts so I was looking forward to reading his book. I received it and quickly read it from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think that anyone who is a fan of LOST will enjoy it as well.
Anyone who has read Vozzek's postings will know that he has brought up the idea of a theory of perception in LOST. This theory is both tedious and controversial. I happen to really enjoy it, but I realize there are many that do not. The great thing about the book is that there is only one chapter dedicated to the perception theory. The rest of the chapters are a collection of different theories as to what may or may not be going on in LOST. These theories are wide ranging. Some of them are new, and some of them expand on ideas that fans have had since the beginning. The author supports each of these theories with generous amounts of supporting evidence from the show, and is careful not to give his opinion as to which one he most believes. The best thing about this book is that you come away from it not with someone's opinion of what's happening, but with a better understanding with what YOU think might be happening.
If you're a LOST fan, you will be excited by the fact that certain chapters in this book may reinforce theories that you've had about the show. At the same time, other chapters will make you want to pull your hair out and say, "No, they can't actually be doing that!" Everyone who reads this will have their own opinion of what theories are the best and which ones are horrible. The author simply presents the theories in a straightforward way. It's up to us as fans to decide which one(s) of them we like the best.
I should also note that, in my opinion, this book doesn't have to be read chronologically. With the exception of the intro and chapter one, it can be read in whatever order you desire. I did choose to read it in order though because once I started I couldn't stop.
Overall, I recommend this book highly to any LOST fan. It's the perfect thing to read as we patiently wait for the sixth and final season of LOST to arrive.
As we teased a short while ago, Vozzek, our resident and popular Lost Recapper and theorist has finally gotten of his ass after much prompting and written a book. I suspect this will be one of the must have books for Lost fans every where.
To go along with the book he has created a new website here: http://www.thingsinoticed.com/ which he hopes to update pretty regularly with thoughts, scene analysis, humor, and other stuff throughout the coming season...
You can also purchase the book through the above site and anyone who does, will, if they want, get it autographed.
You can also purchase through Amazon if you prefer here.
I've already ordered my copy!
For those new to Vozzek and his writing style, you can see his previous posts here.

Just when you thought 5 hours were too many for the finale event on Sunday, ABC has confirmed we will get TWO more hours of LOST, but the night before the finale on Saturday May 22nd at 8PM.
ABC is planning a "Lost" weekend: The network has just scheduled a repeat showing of the show's two-hour 2004 pilot for the night before its finale.
The J.J. Abrams-directed, $10 million-plus spectacular will air Saturday, May 22, from 8-10 p.m., ABC told affiliates today. The two-hour finale will air the following evening from 9-11 p.m.
This brings the total number of "Lost" hours ABC is planning for the week of May 17 to 8. There's the penultimate episode of May 18; the pilot encore on May 22; a two-hour pre-show/recap on May 23; the finale itself; and "Jimmy Kimmel: After the Final Rose" (also on May 23).
The last time ABC aired the "Lost" pilot, by the way, was back in February 2006. It also got repeated in 2004 and 2005.

Episode 6x11/12 - Suddenly Everything Has Changed (Happily Ever After / Everybody Loves Hugo) - By Anna
Anna , Desmond , Everybody Loves Hugo , Happily Ever After , Hurley , Recaps
NOTE: These were initially posted a couple of days ago, but they seemed to cause some glitch on the site because of the code used. So we had to remove them, but they are back! So enjoy the double recap from Anna.
Dear Readers: In the interest playing catch up, I have combined my take on “Happily Ever After” and “Everybody Loves Hugo” together into this single article. Thanks so much for everyone who has been asking about the recaps. I hope once you read this you will find it worth your time as well as the wait. By the way, since it’s a double-episode article, it’s a LONG one, so grab a glass of your favorite Dharma beverage, hunker down, and enjoy!
INTRO: The Gold in the Mountain of Our Madness
In what would now appear to have overtaken “Ab Aeterno” as the best episode of season 6 thus far, , “Happily Ever After”, took a heady turn as the story of Desmond Hume was finally continued. It’s been a long wait, as the last we saw of poor Desmond, he was in the hospital after having been shot by Ben back in the season 5 episode, “The Variable”.
“Happily Ever After” was written by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, and they really outdid themselves with this one. In a season that has been heavily tinged with the concept of faith and rife with religious references, science-fiction fans finally got their payoff with what can be seen as a companion piece to both “Flashes Before Your Eyes” and “The Constant”.
There was very little time spent on the Island in this installment, as once again Desmond’s special consciousness-jumping abilities were at play here, and just as in the past episodes mentioned, we had a bit of flashing to and fro happening for most of the hour. It really felt like an episode from one of the earlier seasons of LOST as well; there was no Jacob and no Man in Black to worry about. However, the shocks came fast and emotions ran high as at last so many of our questions in regards to Timeline-X and its relationship to the Regular Time-line were given a new depth and an interesting hint of clarification.
(Please note: From this point on, in order to save some time, “Time-line X” will be shortened to “TLX”, and the “Regular Island Time-line” will be denoted with “RTL”.)
THINGS I NOTICED - The Last Recruit
Let's face facts: The Last Recruit was a transitional episode. With only a few weeks left to tell the final chapters of LOST's story, the episode was designed to place everyone exactly where they need to be. The writers did what they could to keep things interesting, writing in some of Sawyer's best season six jokes and even saving the Sun/Jin reunion to help out. In the end, it was a good episode - but that's pretty much all it was. Things I Noticed:
Here is Sean Furfaro's Recap of Tonight's Episode.
Normally at the end of a season of Lost, there's an acceleration for the final few episodes. If you've watched from Season 1, you'll know what I'm talking about...that feeling of as if it's a hockey game, you're down a goal, and there's under a minute left. You've got no choice to pull the goaltender and go full throttle in an effort to catch up. Tonight's episode felt a lot like that, sensory overload coupled with an ongoing effort to just "catch up."
So on that note, it's time to pull the goalie and put the pedal to the medal for "The Last Recruit."
Please keep in mind that I write this recap immediately following the episode, and as I'm sitting down, my head is still kind of muddled from everything I just watched...and there was definitely a lot to take in. If I miss anything that I think of later, I'll add it in the Comments section. (And don't forget to mouse over pics for captions.)
I had heard some theories that the Flash Sideways world was heading for a big culmination at the hospital where Jack would be operating on Locke. Right from the opening moments of 'Previously on Lost", it was clear that's where this episode was heading. I'm not sure why, but it still makes me smirk every time I see Desmond's visible "grunt" as he plows into Locke with his car.
The opening scene with Jack and Flocke maintained the tension from the closing scene last week. As the two stepped aside for a private conversation, Flocke explained to Jack that John Locke was stupid to think that he had been brought to this Island for a reason. And since we had a wrap-up answer to the Whispers last week, why not answer another long-standing mystery in this episode before the opening credits roll?
Thanks to Benjamin from http://lost-spoiler.over-blog.com/
Sorry for the delay in posting and thank you for your patience. I had another busy week and my pet chinchilla of 13 years died overnight Sunday into Monday. Needless to say, I've been a bit preoccupied lately.
But here is the Week 11 update! Hard to believe that we're already 2/3 of the way through the final season. Where does the time go? At first "Everybody Loves Hugo" didn't seem like a points bonanza but it definitely was! It is currently the 4th highest scoring episode this season and saw plenty of moving and shaking going on with our group standings. The leader board has not changed but the scores are all extremely close now! Our top 20 are separated by only 95 points! In fact, only 20 points separates 1st from 10th.
Which brings us to tonight's episode, which will be our third and final double-points episode! At such a clutch time, will the DPE twist our leader board once again? Only time will tell. There were two point adjustments for last week's episode, so check those out along with the rest of the content, including another written momentum tracker towards the end of the post.

POINT ADJUSTMENTS TO EPISODE 6.11 "HAPPILY EVER AFTER":
1) Charlie gets extra points via appearing in Desmond's Island Vision. In both of Desmond's visions, he saw Charlie in the flooded Looking Glass room. This gets Charlie points for visiting a DHARMA Location as well as going in the water. This yields an additional 20 points to Charlie for the episode.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.12 "EVERYBODY LOVES HUGO":
1) Each explosion of dynamite results in minor injuries. Everyone is thrown back by the force of the explosion, causing them to fall over. We've been consistent with this sort of injury for a while now.
2) MIB's camp counts as a New Place for Hurley and those following him. None of them have been to his camp before. Even though it is a temporary camp, it is a significant place.
3) Libby gets points for visiting the Swan station. In the Island Vision, we see a clip from a past episode, where she is doing laundry with Hurley inside the Swan hatch.
4) Desmond is charged a major injury deduction for being thrown down the well. Once we find out the actual severity of his injuries, we can adjust this ruling accordingly.

GROUPS
TABLES TOPPERS
CELEBS
GROUP 1
After a points-grab that stunned me, Hurley has moved into second place and is very much in the thick of it for Group 1. Sawyer is now barely clinging to the lead. Kate falls to third place and needs to pick up the pace to catch up. She's not in trouble but now has two people to contend against. Jack has to get on the ball. His hands-off approach has left him almost 200 points behind Sawyer. I think we're due for some Sawyer and Kate action though, after this past episode's focus on the Jack Pack. This double-points episode could break Jack for the rest of the season.
GROUP 2
Jin is still in first place for Group 2 despite a no-show this past week. Sayid is still in 2nd place but he's been doing some of MIB's dirty work, which could slow down his pursuit of Jin. Sun isn't in a hopeless position but she really needs to benefit from the double-points factor this week. If she doesn't, she will likely be unable to catch her husband or Sayid. Miles is in bad shape and I doubt that anything but this double-points episode being centric to him will be helpful.
GROUP 3
Richard isn't sitting quite so pretty after Desmond's awesome pickup this week. Des is only 250 points behind now. If he shows up in the Alt during our double-points episode like he did in "Everybody Loves Hugo," we will have a footrace on our hands. I'm going back on my word and reinserting Desmond into the equation for Group 3. Unless Locke becomes important in the Alt, Des or Richard will win this thing. Ilana's death is both frustrating and unfortunate. She had a chance but never really developed. Ah well, at least she did better than Bram. :-p
GROUP 4
Claire has been pretty successful at putting some distance between herself and Jacob but this double-points episode could be the great equalizer if she doesn't feature prominently and Jacob pops in for a few visits. Frank had a good surge and is still in the picture. Hard to say about Widmore though. Everyone below him is probably toast.
GROUP 5
This group is STILL way too close to call. I will probably be repeating this until after the finale.
GROUP 6
Smokey still hasn't moved much past Cindy. If she manages to show up, now that everyone is at MIB's camp, and Smokey gets violent, she could regain the lead. Sayid has been doing the dirty work though, so I suspect Smokey will be around enough to keep it in his favor. Only Ethan seems likely to challenge them at this point.
GROUP 7
Arzt is still looking good on top but Charlotte and Charlie are one episode away from overtaking him. Libby made some noise for herself and could be in a good position if she appears again. The same can't be said for Michael, whose return was underwhelming as far as points go. There are still enough episodes left that anything could happen though, so I can't put down the no-shows too much yet.

ODI LOSTcast 64 - Episode 6x12 Everybody Loves Hugo Recap
Everybody Loves Hugo , Hurley , Podcasts , Vozzek69
So with only 4 episodes left until the series finale we began getting some big reveals with this past week's episode 6x12 Everybody Loves Hugo.
As always, in this podcast we discuss every key moment and of course provide you with our thoughts about both Michael and Libby returning, Michael bringing the whispers along with an "answer" to what they are, Desmond and Locke exchanging shocking moments with one another, Ilana going Azrt and much more!
No special guests or bonus podcast this week, so this week's podcast is a slightly extended podcast. It is extended as we take some time to chat about the whispers and I rant about why I did not like the way the whispers were answered.
Hope you all enjoy!
As always this podcast was posted on iTunes, but for those that can not access iTunes, here is a link to an audio player and download link:

Episode 6x12 - ODI LOSTometer Episode Grade Chart
Everybody Loves Hugo , Hurley , LOSTometer Episode Rating
Happy LOST Day all!
So another week has come and gone as we inch closer to the end of LOST. This past week's Hurley centric Episode 6x12 Everybody Loves Hugo was well received by most fans and the same goes with the graders this week.
The episode contained several shocking moments and a big reveal as we learned finally about the whisper(er)s. I was just ok with the answer, but was not too happy how it was revealed. It almost felt like to me that it was just thrown in there and it did not get enough screen time. It is one of the main reasons why I did not give this episode an A-, but the "+" was for all the Desmond scenes.
Well many graders loved the episode and the over all average grade ended up as an A-.
What did you all think??

S6Ep12 - "Everybody Loves Hugo," Recap and Analysis, by Erika
Erika Olson , Everybody Loves Hugo , Recaps
Here is the Episode 6.12 recap from Erika Olson (aka "e") from LongLiveLocke.com.
Let's kick off with a few notes concerning my last write-up. Many of you pointed out that when Des was looking at the Arrivals board, Flight 815 actually did have a status ("Arrived") -- it was simply flashing. That's what I get for examining screencaps out of context! Others schooled me in the fact that MRIs do not involve radiation, but rather powerful magnetic fields (which obviously is what would've triggered Des's flashes). And finally, in response to me doubting that Faraday could've connected the dots between his journal scribblings and the fact that he must've detonated a bomb in another timeline, some people suggested that he could've experienced flashes that filled in some of the gaps, but he just didn't share that with Des. I agree that's a reasonable explanation and so I am now at peace with the matter. Phew.
OK, on to "Everybody Loves Hugo." I was happy with this episode because not only did I really enjoy it, but I also felt it didn't introduce a ton of new theories, which makes me feel less guilty about cutting my recap short. Because it's all about me, you know.
Here's my take on this latest hour:
The final “Lost” cast shot, entitled “Final Flight,” will be exclusively revealed as a two-page spread in TV Guide magazine in their April 19th issue, hitting newsstands today. The image will be available for purchase as a limited edition print run of 300, numbered and signed by ABC chief photographer Bob D’ Amico. The exclusive print will include an ABC certificate of authenticity.
“Lost” fans can purchase the limited edition print by going to www.officialLostphotos.com, which is the sole home of all of the cast images from every season of “Lost” going back to the series premiere in 2004. The image will be available for order as a 16x20 print. The price of an unframed print will be $49.99.

THINGS I NOTICED - Everybody Loves Hugo
Everyone loves Hugo episodes. They always deliver a message, but they usually do it with an interesting mix of humor and sarcasm. This week, they even did it with darker and more shadowy overtones. Despite the increasing tension and imminent violence of the upcoming storyline, Hurley was still able to shine through. Things I Noticed:
Three... Is a Magic Number
LOST is playing out exactly as Locke predicted it would, way back in the Pilot episode. Two players, two sides, one dark and one light... things were a lot simpler back then, and ideas a lot more innocent. Perhaps this is why John neglected to take the additional force into account - the third grand master - the watchers, the whisperers, those who are apparently 'stuck' on the island through their deeds or misdeeds.
The bright red flower on Libby's grave this episode pointedly reflects the influence of a 3rd party. We've seen this all throughout the show - the use of the color red neatly implemented in some very key ways. Red has been used to make a point (by Eloise Hawking, showing Desmond the red-shoed man), and in scenes alongside the other two black and white forces (Locke's red WV bug alongside black and white sedans, the red hieroglyphics of the Swan's black-on-white countdown timer, etc...) - the list is pretty long.

Crazy? Crazy About You! "Everybody Loves Hugo" - Recap by Robz888
Everybody Loves Hugo , Recaps , Robz888
BOOM! It was nice knowing you (briefly), Ilana. Hey Desmond, welcome back to the isla... DOWN THE WELL! And, for good measure, let's kill John Locke one more time. Pretty much sums up last night's surprisingly violent Hurley-centric, doesn't it?
But much like "Sundown", the shocking death toll was pretty entertaining, especially after all the lovey-dove stuff lately, though "Everybody Loves Hugo" wasn't lacking in that department, either.
This was an hour of Lost filled with potential answers, questions and moments meriting heavy discussion. I'll try to get through it as quickly as I can, but I have a feeling this will end up being a lengthy recap. Let's examine the on-island action first.
Update: ABC's take
“Lost” (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Opposite stiff original demographic competition at 9:00p.m. on Fox (third half-hour of “American Idol” into the highly-promoted return of “Glee”) and NBC (second hour of a 2-hour “Biggest Loser”), ABC’s “Lost” surged from its lead-in by 41% in Adults 18-49 (3.8/10), beating out its non-“Idol”-driven competition in the time period on NBC (“Biggest Loser” = 3.7/9) and CBS (“NCIS: LA” replay = 1.9/5).

Sean's Random Thoughts - Lost Recap - "Everybody Loves Hugo"
Everybody Loves Hugo , Recaps , Sean Furfaro
Here is Sean Furfaro's Recap of Tonight's Episode.
Jack Shepherd was the Man of Science, John Locke was the Man of Faith, but Hugo “Hurley” Reyes has always been the heart of Lost. Think back to the pure unfettered moments we’ve shared with Hurley over the course of Lost’s run, from building a golf course in Season 1, to his joyous cannonball into the ocean in Season 4, to his heartbreak over learning of the deaths of Libby and Charlie, to his self-convincing efforts to start the Dharma Van, and all the way to his current role as Jacob’s conduit. Hurley has arguably been the emotion of this show for 6 seasons (Sorry Desmond and Penny lovers, myself included)…he has been the voice, the conscience, the one who says what we’re all thinking as we watch. Tonight, with only 6 episodes left to go before we reach the end of this road that we all anticipate and dread with equality, we get our Hurley episode, “Everybody Loves Hugo.”

Hey All,
With the new episode just about an hour or so away for the east coast folk, here is our weekly recap podcast for the Desmond-Centric Happily Ever After.

Of course this week we cover all of Desmond's flash sideways time traveling scenes, the revealing scene with Desmond and Charlie underwater, what exactly are Charles and Eloise might be up to and much more.

Sorry for the delay Lost fans! I've been a busy fellow lately in my life outside of Lost. Lots of things out there to have my mind on at the moment. ;-)
Anywho, here's all the lovely data for episode 6.11, "Happily Ever After." We've got a brand new league leader and two very impressive Fantasy Geniuses of the Week this time around. Check out my audio analysis and see if any of your character picks have some momentum going for them heading into these final episodes of Lost.
NOTE: Once again, there were some point adjustments made to prior episodes. This will make some of scoring columns look funny. Double check out important point rulings section to see if you were impacted by this.
Lost Fantasy Team Lookup Table | LFL on Facebook | G-Man on Twitter | Email G-Man
POINT ADJUSTMENTS TO EPISODE 6.07 "DR. LINUS":
1) Ben is retroactively awarded points for saying the title of an episode. During the episode he said "hapily ever after," which is the title of this past episode.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS TO EPISODE 6.10 "THE PACKAGE":
1) Man In Black and Smokey get points for saying the title of an episode. MIB says "one of them" during the episode, so both he and Smokey get the points.
2) Charles Widmore gets points for saying the title of an episode. Charles said "and found" during the episode.
3) Desmond gets points for encountering Zoe. She was among the people helping to get him off the sub. I had previously only credited Desmond with encountering Widmore's people. Since Zoe stands out among the rest, she counts as an individual person worth points.
IMPORTANT POINT RULINGS FOR 6.11 "HAPPILY EVER AFTER"
1) Sayid is charged with two kills. He clearly kills one of Widmore's men and appears to have killed the other. If we learn later that Sayid only injured the one man, we will correct the scores.
2) Desmond is charged for a minor injury when he faints. The fainting itself is not an injury but the falling over onto concrete is.
3) Desmond's visions of the original timeline are considered to be Island Visions. This category originally covered mysterious visions that we now know to have mostly been the Smoke Monster (on the Island anyway). We've tweaked the rules a little to allow these real timeline visions to count as Island Visions.
Characters will earn points for appearing in someone's Island Vision only once per specific vision, no matter how many times they may appear within that one vision. Charlie Hume appears twice and Penny four time in Desmond's vision in the MRI machine but they only get points for appearing once. Other actions inside the visions will be counted on an individual basis (i.e. Penny and Desmond get three sets of kiss points from the one Island vision because each kiss was from a different point in time).
More rulings may have to be made on these visions as we progress this season but that is what we're starting with.
