Update: 27th April Vozzek has kindly allowed us to post a Chapter of his book for those that still might be considering purchasing it.

Update: 3rd Jan 18:00 Here is a new Review from DarkUFO regular Ricky.

Update: 3rd Jan 15:15 We're just starting to get some reviews in for Vozzek's book. As I get/find more I'll add them here. Also you can enter here to win a copy of the book (NOTE: This competition is now closed). Also EW's Doc Jensen featured Vozzek in his recent article here.

As we teased a short while ago, Vozzek, our resident and popular Lost Recapper and theorist has finally gotten of his ass after much prompting and written a book. I suspect this will be one of the must have books for Lost fans every where.

To go along with the book he has created a new website here: http://www.thingsinoticed.com/ which he hopes to update pretty regularly with thoughts, scene analysis, humor, and other stuff throughout the coming season...

You can also purchase the book through the above site and anyone who does, will, if they want, get it autographed.

You can also purchase through Amazon if you prefer here.

I've already ordered my copy!

For those new to Vozzek and his writing style, you can see his previous posts here.

You can also follow Vozzek on Twitter

Yesterday we made a post about some of the plans we have for the site post Lost.

Now it's your turn to have your say, let us know in the comments any ideas that you have for some things that we could do post Lost. Try to make them practical where possible.

I don't promise that we'll be able to do them all but I'm sure between us Lost fans we can come up with a few cool ideas that we could look to implement.

Feel free to add us to your Social Networks sites etc.

Thanks to Bruce.

Just when you thought 5 hours were too many for the finale event on Sunday, ABC has confirmed we will get TWO more hours of LOST, but the night before the finale on Saturday May 22nd at 8PM.

ABC is planning a "Lost" weekend: The network has just scheduled a repeat showing of the show's two-hour 2004 pilot for the night before its finale.

The J.J. Abrams-directed, $10 million-plus spectacular will air Saturday, May 22, from 8-10 p.m., ABC told affiliates today. The two-hour finale will air the following evening from 9-11 p.m.

This brings the total number of "Lost" hours ABC is planning for the week of May 17 to 8. There's the penultimate episode of May 18; the pilot encore on May 22; a two-hour pre-show/recap on May 23; the finale itself; and "Jimmy Kimmel: After the Final Rose" (also on May 23).

The last time ABC aired the "Lost" pilot, by the way, was back in February 2006. It also got repeated in 2004 and 2005.

NOTE: These were initially posted a couple of days ago, but they seemed to cause some glitch on the site because of the code used. So we had to remove them, but they are back! So enjoy the double recap from Anna.

Dear Readers: In the interest playing catch up, I have combined my take on “Happily Ever After” and “Everybody Loves Hugo” together into this single article. Thanks so much for everyone who has been asking about the recaps. I hope once you read this you will find it worth your time as well as the wait. By the way, since it’s a double-episode article, it’s a LONG one, so grab a glass of your favorite Dharma beverage, hunker down, and enjoy!

INTRO: The Gold in the Mountain of Our Madness

In what would now appear to have overtaken “Ab Aeterno” as the best episode of season 6 thus far, , “Happily Ever After”, took a heady turn as the story of Desmond Hume was finally continued. It’s been a long wait, as the last we saw of poor Desmond, he was in the hospital after having been shot by Ben back in the season 5 episode, “The Variable”.

“Happily Ever After” was written by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, and they really outdid themselves with this one. In a season that has been heavily tinged with the concept of faith and rife with religious references, science-fiction fans finally got their payoff with what can be seen as a companion piece to both “Flashes Before Your Eyes” and “The Constant”.

There was very little time spent on the Island in this installment, as once again Desmond’s special consciousness-jumping abilities were at play here, and just as in the past episodes mentioned, we had a bit of flashing to and fro happening for most of the hour. It really felt like an episode from one of the earlier seasons of LOST as well; there was no Jacob and no Man in Black to worry about. However, the shocks came fast and emotions ran high as at last so many of our questions in regards to Timeline-X and its relationship to the Regular Time-line were given a new depth and an interesting hint of clarification.

(Please note: From this point on, in order to save some time, “Time-line X” will be shortened to “TLX”, and the “Regular Island Time-line” will be denoted with “RTL”.)

THINGS I NOTICED - The Last Recruit

Let's face facts: The Last Recruit was a transitional episode. With only a few weeks left to tell the final chapters of LOST's story, the episode was designed to place everyone exactly where they need to be. The writers did what they could to keep things interesting, writing in some of Sawyer's best season six jokes and even saving the Sun/Jin reunion to help out. In the end, it was a good episode - but that's pretty much all it was. Things I Noticed:

Here is Sean Furfaro's Recap of Tonight's Episode.

Normally at the end of a season of Lost, there's an acceleration for the final few episodes. If you've watched from Season 1, you'll know what I'm talking about...that feeling of as if it's a hockey game, you're down a goal, and there's under a minute left. You've got no choice to pull the goaltender and go full throttle in an effort to catch up. Tonight's episode felt a lot like that, sensory overload coupled with an ongoing effort to just "catch up."

So on that note, it's time to pull the goalie and put the pedal to the medal for "The Last Recruit."

Please keep in mind that I write this recap immediately following the episode, and as I'm sitting down, my head is still kind of muddled from everything I just watched...and there was definitely a lot to take in. If I miss anything that I think of later, I'll add it in the Comments section. (And don't forget to mouse over pics for captions.)

I had heard some theories that the Flash Sideways world was heading for a big culmination at the hospital where Jack would be operating on Locke. Right from the opening moments of 'Previously on Lost", it was clear that's where this episode was heading. I'm not sure why, but it still makes me smirk every time I see Desmond's visible "grunt" as he plows into Locke with his car.

The opening scene with Jack and Flocke maintained the tension from the closing scene last week. As the two stepped aside for a private conversation, Flocke explained to Jack that John Locke was stupid to think that he had been brought to this Island for a reason. And since we had a wrap-up answer to the Whispers last week, why not answer another long-standing mystery in this episode before the opening credits roll?

Thanks to Benjamin from http://lost-spoiler.over-blog.com/

Sorry for the delay in posting and thank you for your patience. I had another busy week and my pet chinchilla of 13 years died overnight Sunday into Monday. Needless to say, I've been a bit preoccupied lately.

But here is the Week 11 update! Hard to believe that we're already 2/3 of the way through the final season. Where does the time go? At first "Everybody Loves Hugo" didn't seem like a points bonanza but it definitely was! It is currently the 4th highest scoring episode this season and saw plenty of moving and shaking going on with our group standings. The leader board has not changed but the scores are all extremely close now! Our top 20 are separated by only 95 points! In fact, only 20 points separates 1st from 10th.

Which brings us to tonight's episode, which will be our third and final double-points episode! At such a clutch time, will the DPE twist our leader board once again? Only time will tell. There were two point adjustments for last week's episode, so check those out along with the rest of the content, including another written momentum tracker towards the end of the post.

So with only 4 episodes left until the series finale we began getting some big reveals with this past week's episode 6x12 Everybody Loves Hugo.

As always, in this podcast we discuss every key moment and of course provide you with our thoughts about both Michael and Libby returning, Michael bringing the whispers along with an "answer" to what they are, Desmond and Locke exchanging shocking moments with one another, Ilana going Azrt and much more!

No special guests or bonus podcast this week, so this week's podcast is a slightly extended podcast. It is extended as we take some time to chat about the whispers and I rant about why I did not like the way the whispers were answered.

Hope you all enjoy!

Happy LOST Day all!

So another week has come and gone as we inch closer to the end of LOST. This past week's Hurley centric Episode 6x12 Everybody Loves Hugo was well received by most fans and the same goes with the graders this week.

The episode contained several shocking moments and a big reveal as we learned finally about the whisper(er)s. I was just ok with the answer, but was not too happy how it was revealed. It almost felt like to me that it was just thrown in there and it did not get enough screen time. It is one of the main reasons why I did not give this episode an A-, but the "+" was for all the Desmond scenes.

Well many graders loved the episode and the over all average grade ended up as an A-.

What did you all think??

Here is the Episode 6.12 recap from Erika Olson (aka "e") from LongLiveLocke.com.

Let's kick off with a few notes concerning my last write-up. Many of you pointed out that when Des was looking at the Arrivals board, Flight 815 actually did have a status ("Arrived") -- it was simply flashing. That's what I get for examining screencaps out of context! Others schooled me in the fact that MRIs do not involve radiation, but rather powerful magnetic fields (which obviously is what would've triggered Des's flashes). And finally, in response to me doubting that Faraday could've connected the dots between his journal scribblings and the fact that he must've detonated a bomb in another timeline, some people suggested that he could've experienced flashes that filled in some of the gaps, but he just didn't share that with Des. I agree that's a reasonable explanation and so I am now at peace with the matter. Phew.

OK, on to "Everybody Loves Hugo." I was happy with this episode because not only did I really enjoy it, but I also felt it didn't introduce a ton of new theories, which makes me feel less guilty about cutting my recap short. Because it's all about me, you know.

Here's my take on this latest hour:

The final “Lost” cast shot, entitled “Final Flight,” will be exclusively revealed as a two-page spread in TV Guide magazine in their April 19th issue, hitting newsstands today. The image will be available for purchase as a limited edition print run of 300, numbered and signed by ABC chief photographer Bob D’ Amico. The exclusive print will include an ABC certificate of authenticity.

“Lost” fans can purchase the limited edition print by going to www.officialLostphotos.com, which is the sole home of all of the cast images from every season of “Lost” going back to the series premiere in 2004. The image will be available for order as a 16x20 print. The price of an unframed print will be $49.99.

THINGS I NOTICED - Everybody Loves Hugo

Everyone loves Hugo episodes. They always deliver a message, but they usually do it with an interesting mix of humor and sarcasm. This week, they even did it with darker and more shadowy overtones. Despite the increasing tension and imminent violence of the upcoming storyline, Hurley was still able to shine through. Things I Noticed:

Three... Is a Magic Number
LOST is playing out exactly as Locke predicted it would, way back in the Pilot episode. Two players, two sides, one dark and one light... things were a lot simpler back then, and ideas a lot more innocent. Perhaps this is why John neglected to take the additional force into account - the third grand master - the watchers, the whisperers, those who are apparently 'stuck' on the island through their deeds or misdeeds.

The bright red flower on Libby's grave this episode pointedly reflects the influence of a 3rd party. We've seen this all throughout the show - the use of the color red neatly implemented in some very key ways. Red has been used to make a point (by Eloise Hawking, showing Desmond the red-shoed man), and in scenes alongside the other two black and white forces (Locke's red WV bug alongside black and white sedans, the red hieroglyphics of the Swan's black-on-white countdown timer, etc...) - the list is pretty long.

BOOM! It was nice knowing you (briefly), Ilana. Hey Desmond, welcome back to the isla... DOWN THE WELL! And, for good measure, let's kill John Locke one more time. Pretty much sums up last night's surprisingly violent Hurley-centric, doesn't it?

But much like "Sundown", the shocking death toll was pretty entertaining, especially after all the lovey-dove stuff lately, though "Everybody Loves Hugo" wasn't lacking in that department, either.

This was an hour of Lost filled with potential answers, questions and moments meriting heavy discussion. I'll try to get through it as quickly as I can, but I have a feeling this will end up being a lengthy recap. Let's examine the on-island action first.

Update: ABC's take

“Lost” (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Opposite stiff original demographic competition at 9:00p.m. on Fox (third half-hour of “American Idol” into the highly-promoted return of “Glee”) and NBC (second hour of a 2-hour “Biggest Loser”), ABC’s “Lost” surged from its lead-in by 41% in Adults 18-49 (3.8/10), beating out its non-“Idol”-driven competition in the time period on NBC (“Biggest Loser” = 3.7/9) and CBS (“NCIS: LA” replay = 1.9/5).

Here is Sean Furfaro's Recap of Tonight's Episode.

Jack Shepherd was the Man of Science, John Locke was the Man of Faith, but Hugo “Hurley” Reyes has always been the heart of Lost. Think back to the pure unfettered moments we’ve shared with Hurley over the course of Lost’s run, from building a golf course in Season 1, to his joyous cannonball into the ocean in Season 4, to his heartbreak over learning of the deaths of Libby and Charlie, to his self-convincing efforts to start the Dharma Van, and all the way to his current role as Jacob’s conduit. Hurley has arguably been the emotion of this show for 6 seasons (Sorry Desmond and Penny lovers, myself included)…he has been the voice, the conscience, the one who says what we’re all thinking as we watch. Tonight, with only 6 episodes left to go before we reach the end of this road that we all anticipate and dread with equality, we get our Hurley episode, “Everybody Loves Hugo.”
