Greetings Lost fans!
Like last year we're going to use a "March Madness"-style bracket contest! For those of you who don't know what March Madness is, it's a 64 team single elimination tournament featuring the best college basketball teams in the United States. One of the main reasons that March Madness is so revered is because, from the Sunday when the matchups are announced to the Thursday when the games actually start, people go crazy predicting how the tournament is going to transpire through an activity often referred to as "filling out a bracket".
The site we'll be using to fill out our Lost brackets is http://www.dawgsled.com/darkufo, a “home-grown” site that has been used to track March Madness contests for the past few years. We’ve re-wired the site for use in the Lost universe, and we’ve already drawn a (mostly) random bracket of the top 64 episodes in the series.
Your job will be to go to this site and predict the entire tournament--from the first match through the championship final. You'll have until 1st July to get this done. On July 1st, the bracket will "lock", the site will switch over to "scoring and tracking" mode, and the actual matches will begin on DarkUFO's site in exactly the same manner as last year, except that there won't be a "re-draw" after every round.
After every match, the scoreboard on the bracket site will be updated. For every matchup that you correctly forecast the winner for, you'll be awarded points. Throughout the tournament, you'll be able to see where you stand against everyone else in the entire world.
Remember: When you’re filling out your bracket, choose the winning episode based on who you THINK will win, which will sometimes be different than the episode that you WANT to win. For the Final you also need to enter in the % amount that each episode will get in case of a tie.
Winning bracket gets a Season 5 Lost DVD set!

Hey All,
Once again thanks to all of you that have waited patiently for this second part of the finale podcast and thanks to those of you that sent in messages, posted comments or Tweeted wondering where it was!?
Well in the mean time another few weeks have passed in this loooonnng hiatus, but as promised we will keep doing our best to help you all through the withdrawals!!
The initial plan was to break this part of the podcast in to two shorter versions, but since we had taken so long to get it out to you guys, I decided to just make it one Super-Sized Podcast of over 3 hours of LOST goodness!!
In the podcast, we cover the Sun/Jin Wedding, Jacob meeting Ilana, and all the other great scenes in the 2007 timeline.
As requested by several of you to have chapters that will allow you to be able to skip back and forth through the podcast, hopefully by the next podcast we will be able to have that as a new feature. Also, the next podcast will most likely be a Season 5 Recap/Highlights podcast with our good friend DarkUFO joining us and we will update you all on Comic Con happenings and plans. So if you have any questions, please post comments or feel free to email them in.
The podcast was posted on iTunes late last night, but for those of you that can not access it there, below is a link to the audio player with a download link.
Hope you all enjoy!!

LOST Numbers Game Season 6 Competition
Well here we are again. Season 5 is over and we have a long wait until Season 6. With filming starting soon and in the effort to avoid spoilers, sign ups for the LNG are earlier than last year.
There are a number of changes this year including, different categories, new characters, and a new point scheme.
This year I have made it even tougher for spoilers to even effect any sort of results and meaning a tougher competition!! Once any major spoilers are released that could effect the LNG sign ups will be stopped. So sign up ASAP.
You can also chat about the LOST Numbers Game on the Spoiler TV Forum by clicking HERE!
Below you can find information about all of the changes, the rules, how to contact me and of course the sign up form.
Please note it is only one entry per person and the winner at the end of Season 6 will receive a LOST related prize (last season it was Amazon vouchers won by Eminga).
There is a new point system for Season 6. I will be using the LNG Weekly point score system for the season game (See How to play below).
This year instead of 23 Characters to choose from there will be 50 characters!! Meaning it is going to be even harder to decide who to pick. Some of the new additions include, Charlie Pace, Bram, Ji Yeon and Fan Favourite Vincent. This year there is:
Aaron, Abaddon, Ana Lucia, Ben, Bernard, Boone, Bram, Charlie P, Charlie H, Charlotte, Christian, Cindy, Claire, Daniel, Danielle, Desmond, Eko, Eloise, Ethan, Frank, Horace, Hurley, Ilana, Jack, Jacob, Ji Yeon, Jin, Juliet, Kate, Libby, Locke, Michael, Mikhail, Miles, Naomi, Nikki, Paulo, Penny, Pierre, Radzinsky, Richard, Roger, Rose, Sawyer, Sayid, Shannon, Sun, Vincent, Walt, Widmore
Finally there are two new categories this year to replace Character Centric and Episode type so that spoilers can not effect this competition. The two new additions are Numbers Appear and 108 Seconds.
Numbers Appear: Guess how many times the numbers will make a unique appearance in an episode,
108 Seconds: Which character will appear at 108 seconds.
How To Play
As you know the numbers are 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42.
In this game each number represents a minute in the episode, you have to guess which character (from a pre selected list) will be on screen at that minute (this is based on an episode being 42 mins long like on the DVD). So for example during an episode you would have:
4 minutes - HURLEY
8 minutes - JACK
15 minutes - WIDMORE
etc etc...
The 42 minute character is the last person to be seen during the episode before the LOST End title.
So the idea of the competition is for each number you have to guess which character will be on screen at that minute. You can also receive Bonus points for guessing the amount of times the numbers appear and which character appears at 108 Seconds.
Point Scoring
The following is a points break down:
4 Mins = 4 Points
8 Mins = 8 Points
15 Mins = 15 Points
16 Mins = 16 Points
23 Mins = 23 Points
42 Mins(last person on screen) = 42 Points
And the more you get correct the more points you can gain, because your total would be multiplied by the amount correct. So for example:
Example 1 -- 42 Mins correct = 42 x 1 = 42 Points
Example 2 -- 8 Mins and 15 Mins Correct = (8+15) x 2 = 46 Points
Example one may have got the higher minute correct but because example 2 got 2 correct their points score is multiplied by 2.
There are also two bonus points to gain as well:
Guessing how many times numbers appear: 108 Points
Person who appears at 108 Seconds: 108 Points
So each episode you can receive 864 points or over the season 14688
Rules and Guidelines
These are the rules and guidelines for the LOST Numbers Game. They have been made as fair as possible and my decision on any matter is final.
Episodes are based on the 42 Minutes of running time and adverts are not included. Myself and a panel of forum staff will sit down and enter who we think appeared on screen at that time. Any disagreements will be discussed until all members are in agreement on which character goes with each number. This decision is final.
For a character to be counted the front or back of their head has to be on screen. Any other body part (sorry Doc Artz) will not be counted.
If the LOST titles (the lost sign) appear during one of the minutes, the first character seen after the titles will count for that minute.
If no character from the pre-selected list is on screen on one of the numbers the first character as close to that exact minute will be the one selected.
If a number of characters are on screen at the same time, the character closest to the left corner of the screen will be counted.
The 42 minutes person is the last person to be seen in the episode before the titles, NOT the person who is there at exactly 42 minutes.
The same set of numbers appearing on screen multiple times will only ever count as 1 (Numbers appear category)
My decision is final on the rules and any decisions regarding them. People will be notified of any changes to these rules (not that it will happen). Anyone found to be cheating or using multiple sign-ups will be removed from the competition.
You can now keep up to date in a number of ways in the LNG. You can sign up to my Twitter account to follow updates or follow DARKUFO blog for updates. You can also find my email below.

The best RSS Feedreader and one I use is Google Reader.(Note: I have over 1000 sites on my RSS Reader and I very rarely actually visit any websites directly anymore)
Note: In the right hand side bar there is a Subscribe button that also allows you to quickly subscribe to a particular section or you can use one of the links below.
If you voted "What's a Feedreader" here is a video that explains it very nicely
Subscribing to content
The site is split into several areas which can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate tabs across the top of the screen. To be kept informed of any new information for a particular section we have provided a RSS feed to deliver new info to you directly.
You can also be alerted when new comments appear on certain posts. When you are on an individual post there is an icon at the bottom of the post called Subscribe. Whenever a comment is added this will be sent through to your newsreader.
Each post that gets written on the site generates a lot of comments and interesting insights from around the world. If you don't read the comments you could be missing out on a lot of very interesting information.
Also when you leave a comment on a post you can request to be kept informed via email of any follow-up comments. If you use the pop-up comments window you will see the following at the end of the form.

If you use the inline comments, you will see a "Subscribe by email" link below the comments box.
We also added a couple of new feeds for last season.
If there are any feeds that you would like me to add please let me know in the comments below or via email.
